Wake surfing in Naples

Wake surfing is the reason Surf Florida exists. The boat throws a chest-high, endlessly breaking wave off one corner of the transom, you get up on a short surfboard holding a rope, and then you throw the rope in the boat and surf — no tow, no handle, just you and a wave that runs as long as the driver keeps the throttle steady. It is the gentlest of the tow sports on your body and the one first-timers pick up fastest.

Wakeboarding in Naples

Wakeboarding is the rope sport: you stay behind the boat at around 20 mph on a single board with your feet strapped in, edge into the wake and use it as a ramp. Surf Florida includes wakeboards for adults, women and youth in every rental, along with tow ropes and life jackets. The tower puts the tow point high above the transom, which is what makes clean pop off the wake possible.

Wake foiling in Naples

Wake foiling puts you on a board with a carbon hydrofoil mast under it. Once you pick up speed the wing generates lift, the board leaves the surface entirely, and you fly roughly a foot above the water with only the mast in contact. It is the newest and strangest-feeling tow sport, it works at very low boat speeds, and it keeps working long after the wake has flattened out. Surf Florida offers a wake foil board as a reserved add-on.

Tubing in Naples

Tubing is the one where nobody has to be good at anything. Everyone from grandparents to eight-year-olds can hold on to an inflatable towable and get dragged across the wake, and it is reliably the loudest, funniest part of the day. Tubes and tow ropes are included in every Surf Florida rental, and the driver controls exactly how wild it gets.
