Marco Island · 15 minutes to Goodland
You are closer to the islands than anyone in Naples.
A self-captained wake surf boat, delivered to Goodland Boat Park on the back side of Marco for a flat $120. Dolphins, secluded shelling beaches and the Everglades all start about 10 minutes from the dock.
What the delivery actually buys you
The Ten Thousand Islands are a 35-minute boat run each way from Naples Bay and about 10 minutes from Goodland. On a 6-hour rental that difference is most of an hour of your day, and it is the difference between being in the island maze and looking at the top corner of it. Delivery is a flat, one-time fee per booking that covers trailering the boat down, launching it and retrieving it at the end of the day. It is charged once per booking, not per hour and not per day.
Getting to the ramp from Marco
From central Marco take San Marco Rd (CR-92) east, turn right on Goodland Dr and then right again onto Palm Point Dr — the park is at the end by the water, roughly 15 minutes door to dock. Parking in the village lot is free and has room for trailers. Goodland is a village of a few hundred people, so the streets are narrow and the speed limit is taken seriously.
Where you can get in a day
Coon Key Pass and the first islands
10 minutes
Out the channel past the Coon Key light and the island maze opens up in front of you.
Dolphin water in Gullivan Bay
15 minutes
Resident bottlenose dolphins work these passes all year and routinely ride boat wakes here.
Secluded shelling beaches — Cape Romano and the outer keys
25 minutes
Gulf-facing sand with no road to it, no concession stand and usually nobody else on it.
Everglades backwaters toward Everglades City
40 minutes
Mangrove tunnels, tidal creeks and flat protected water on the western edge of Everglades National Park.
What it is not
It is not a captained charter, not a guided eco tour and not a fishing boat — fishing, bait and fish cleaning are not permitted on board. You drive it yourself, on your own schedule, with the boards and the surf system included. If you want a naturalist narrating the mangroves or a rod in your hand, book one of the Marco operators who do that instead.
Marco Island questions
What guests on Marco ask us first.
Do you rent boats on Marco Island?
We serve Marco Island from Goodland Boat Park, 750 Palm Point Dr, Goodland, Florida 34140 — about 15 minutes from central Marco on the southeast corner of the island. We trailer the boat down, launch it and retrieve it for a flat $120 delivery fee on top of the normal rate of $210 per hour with a 6-hour minimum, or $1,350 for a full day. There is nothing for you to tow and no marina office to check in at.
Why launch from Goodland instead of Marco Island itself?
Because of where it puts you. Goodland sits on the back side of Marco facing Coon Key Pass, which is the closest ramp in Collier County to the Ten Thousand Islands — the first mangrove keys are about 10 minutes out. It also has a free village lot with room for trailers, which is not something you can count on at a Marco ramp in season. The water you actually came for starts sooner.
How much is a boat rental from Marco Island?
$210 per hour with a 6-hour minimum ($1,260) or $1,350 for a full day, plus the flat $120 delivery to Goodland — so $1,380 for a half day and $1,470 for a full one, before Florida sales tax, Boatsetter booking fees, the fuel you burn. Wakesurf boards, wakeboards, tubes, ropes and Coast Guard life jackets for adults and kids are all included.
Can we launch from Naples instead if we are on Marco?
You can — Bayview Park Marina, 1575 Danford St, is free to launch from and about 40 minutes by car from Marco. But it is the long way round to the water Marco guests usually want: the islands are a 35-minute boat run from Naples Bay versus 10 from Goodland. If your plan is Keewaydin Island and Gordon Pass, Bayview is the right call. If it is the Ten Thousand Islands, take the delivery.
Do you go to Isles of Capri and Everglades City?
Isles of Capri guests use the same Goodland launch — it is a 15-minute drive and the same southern water. The Everglades backwaters toward Everglades City and Chokoloskee are reachable by boat from Goodland, roughly 40 minutes each way, which realistically makes it a full-day trip. We will tell you honestly whether your date, tide and weather window support it.
Is the boat captained?
No — you captain it yourself as a bareboat rental, booked through Boatsetter. You get a ramp-side briefing on the boat, the surf system, the local channels and the no-wake zones, and we read the tide for your date and plan the route with you before you leave the dock. We run monday through saturday, 8:00 am to dusk. No single-day Sunday rentals. Multi-day bookings may run straight through a Sunday.
